- Modern jet liners burn fossil fuels to provide thrust, like jet fuel, that release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere

- Deforestation is where areas are cleared of trees. This means there are fewer trees to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis.

- Coal power stations burn large amounts of coal to produce an electric current which we use in our homes, office, and factories.
