Met de opkomst van sociale media in de afgelopen decennia, hebben opvoeders een toename gezien van zowel cyberpesten als traditioneel pesten onder schoolgaande jongeren. De eerste stap om het verschil te maken is onderwijs. Docenten, personeel, ouders en studenten moeten allemaal worden opgeleid in het identificeren, reageren op en voorkomen van pesten.

- Stand tall and walk in a way that shows you are a person deserving respect. Your body language can help prevent you from being a target.
