The five regions of the United States all have many things about them that make them unique. The West region consists of 11 states, including Alaska and Hawaii. It is known for the Rocky Mountains and the Mojave Desert. The West is a wonderful place to visit with popular tourist attractions such as Disneyland and Yellowstone National Park. It’s time to learn all about what makes the West a wonderful place to visit and live!

- Hi Jen!How is your summer? I hope it's awesome! We are here in sunny California, and we just visited Hollywood! Have you ever heard of the Hollywood Walk of Fame? It is a monument for people in the entertainment industry and has over 2,000 stars on the sidewalk for people like musicians, directors, actors and actresses, and even fictional characters like Mickey Mouse! We visited some old movie sets, and then we went to Universal Studios. I really enjoyed looking at the huge Hollywood sign. Did you know that the sign was put up in the 1920s as an advertisement for a new housing development and wasn't even supposed to last long? It has been changed and restored and is now known all over the country! So cool. I was really hoping to see a Jonas Brother or maybe even Tom Holland, and my mom was hoping to see George Clooney, but we didn't see anyone. It was still so fun though! Well, I will see you soon and I can't wait to hear all about your summer!Your BFF,Lauren
