Storyboard Description
A T-chart showing Jordan's interview at TagBack done two ways: greeting, answering, body language, phone, and questions.
Storyboard Text
Slide: 1
Greeting: Do
TagBack
Nice to meet you, Ms. Grant.
Jordan stands, smiles, and says, "Nice to meet you, Ms. Grant." A warm hello shows respect from the first second.
Slide: 2
Greeting: Don't
TagBack
hey.
Jordan stays seated, looks at a phone, and mumbles "hey." Ms. Grant sees someone who doesn't care about the job.
Slide: 3
Answering: Do
TagBack
At the school store, I ran the register during the lunch rush.
Jordan gives a specific example from the school store. Real examples prove Jordan can handle the job.
Slide: 4
Answering: Don't
TagBack
I don't know.
Jordan answers "I don't know" or with one word. Ms. Grant learns nothing about what Jordan can do.
Slide: 5
Body Language: Do
TagBack
What makes you a good fit for TagBack?
Jordan sits up, nods, and faces Ms. Grant. It shows Jordan is listening and interested.
Slide: 6
Body Language: Don't
TagBack
So, tell me about yourself.
Jordan slouches with arms crossed and looks at the clock. It tells Ms. Grant that Jordan would rather be somewhere else.
Slide: 7
Phone: Do
TagBack
Phone on silent. Now it goes in my bag.
Jordan's phone is silenced and put away before the interview starts. Ms. Grant gets Jordan's full attention.
Slide: 8
Phone: Don't
TagBack
So I was saying... oh, hang on.
Jordan's phone buzzes, and Jordan checks it mid-answer. Ms. Grant wonders if customers would get ignored too.
Slide: 9
Questions: Do
TagBack
What does a typical shift look like?
Jordan asks, "What does a typical shift look like?" A good question shows real interest in the job.
Slide: 10
Questions: Don't
TagBack
Nope, no questions. How much time off do I get?
Jordan says, "Nope, no questions," or asks only about time off. It sounds like Jordan cares more about breaks than the work.
