Activity Overview
Storyboard That's Picture Encyclopedia is a fantastic resource for research and inspiration! This activity invites students to use our Biography section to find someone of interest, learn more about them and then create a colorful trading card that illustrates the person and provides important details about their life and accomplishments.
These trading cards can be downloaded as a high resolution image (png) to be shared digitally. They could also be printed and laminated to be used in the classroom as tools to learn more about influential people and Change Makers throughout history.

Template and Class Instructions

Due Date:
Objective: Create a trading card for a Changemaker of your choice.
Student Instructions
- Choose a Changemaker from the Storyboard That Picture Encyclopedia Biography section.
- Use the template provided to add an illustration of the person. Be sure to include scenes, items and design that represent the person and their accomplishments.
- Add the person's name and date of birth (and death if applicable) to the banner.
- Add 3 - 5 important facts about the person in the description box.
Requirements: Create an illustration of your Changemaker and include their name, date of birth, and a 3-5 sentence description.
